OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET WASHINGTON, D.C. 20503 FEB 26 2001 Mr. David W. R. Brown Dear Mr. Brown: This is in response to your letter to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) dated February 13, 2001, received by fax on the same date, in which you have asked that OMB provide you with a copy of paperwork filed by the Patent Office requesting authorization to collect:
"A complete showing of patentee's financial condition from the latest date that the first maintenance fee could have been paid through the date on which the first petition was filed, including all income (not just taxable), expenses, assets, credit, and obligations, which made the delay in payment of the maintenance fee unavoidable. A monthly breakdown is preferred." Upon a thorough search of OMB's files, we have located no documents responsive to your letter. For further infomation concerning the infomation you are seeking, we suggest that you contact the Patent and Trademark Office. If you feel this informational response is not sufficient to your concerns, then you may exercise your rights to appeal our December 5, 2000, response to you. Sincerely, Darrell Johnson |
